Rachel Johnson, a talented golfer from Anderson, Indiana, has made a name for herself in the world of golf. Starting at the age of 5, Rachel quickly developed her skills and entered her first competitive tournament at the age of 8. As an active member of the Indiana Junior Golf Association, Rachel played at every level and earned the prestigious title of Indiana Girls Player of the Year in both 2011 and 2012. Throughout her high school career at Yorktown High School, Rachel’s team emerged victorious in the 2012 IHSAA State Championship. Continuing her golf journey, Rachel attended Chicago State University before transferring to Missouri State University. It was during her time at Missouri State that Rachel and her team clinched the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 2017 and 2018, progressing to the NCAA regional. In 2018, Rachel, in her junior year, triumphed as the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Champion. With an impressive college career boasting 3 event wins, over 15 top 10 finishes, and being named MVC Golfer of the Week 5 times, Rachel’s passion for the game led her to pursue a professional career. 

Rachel showcased her talent by winning the 2023 Indiana PGA Women’s Open Title, displaying her skill and dominance on the golf course. As an Assistant Golf Coach at Barla Golf Academy, Rachel expressed her joy in rejoining the winning circle and having her father act as her coach once again. With her expertise and determination, Rachel Johnson is set to make a significant impact in the world of professional golf.
